About Jagged Edge…

Jagged Edge Consulting was created by it’s founder, Jamie Gergen, with a goal of assisting companies in navigating the transition from traditional business models of brick and mortar to the very technical landscape of the new frontier: The Internet.

Jamie has worked over two decades in web software production and project management. Starting at a small Internet start-up before Y2K, he joined AOL in 2000. He worked on various internal company technology products, but was also part of the success of the first website for the reality TV show, “Big Brother”.

Jamie left AOL in 2003, and joined the PBS KIDS team, working with producers such as Sesame Workshop, WGBH, WNET, Ready To Learn, Scholastic, and more. Within a few years, Jamie was the chief technology resource for all of pbskids.org. When Jamie left PBS in 2009, he was responsible for all of the resources maintaining the day-to-day operation of PBS Interactive’s Internet infrastructure.

Since Jamie left PBS he has worked as an IT consultant, advising a group of federal government contractors and employees on modern software development, utilizing open source languages, API services and version control repositories such as GitHub. This consulting also included using social media platforms to inform the public of information in a timely manner. After performing these tasks for several months, he decided it was time to advise others on IT and technology, and founded Jagged Edge Consulting in May, 2010.

Since 2010, Jamie has consulted with both Federal clients and private industry clients on project management and software development management best practices. He has experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and earned his PMP certification in 2015.
